And the wind cried Mary

It is time for a movie. There's many options, but I shall ignroe most of them. Lets consider the following:
Earlville Cinema Wanted - 6.40pm or 9.20pm Cairns Central XFiles - 9pm Wanted - 6.40pm or 9.10pm Cairns City Bank Job - 6.50pm or 9.20pm Counterfeiters - 9pm All these options. Comment about preferred movie, possible eats, and times. All sessions have been selected for 6 or later so we dont have to fake an 'urgent business meeting' to get there

I'm up for a late movie and late eats.
I will see any of the above movies (all though I have heard nothing about counterfeit)

A) cairns central now has the best speakers so it's the place to go unless you like the seats/quietness of earlville, b) i have seen both the bank job and Wanted but will happily watch wanted again (i only saw bank job yesterday). That's my vote

I vote wanted at Central

Jelf informs me this is tonight, so late is good.

Oh, and food!

Rah says Mexican, and Steak, and Mexican, and ICECREAM!!!

Which Mexican? same old same old? somwhere new?

I vote X-Files, but I'll watch the others on the proviso that if they are "Jumper" bad, I get to extract my lost time out of jelf in the form of a beating with a pool cue.

If you want to see Jelf get a beating from Ghost.. then I recommend Wanted... i would say it is potentially even worse than Jumper... X-Files is so 6 years ago... but I haven't seen it... Haven't seen The Bank Job either... but I have heard good things about it... I also have had it sitting on my PC for a few months and not watched it... :P If your up for a couple of hours reading then go The Counterfeiters aka Fälscher, Die.. and support ze germans...
I notice Pineapple Express is missing from this list but have been informed by Jelf that this is because it is a stoner movie... Yes they get stoned in it... but it is LOL and I enjoyed it...

I don't know if I can make it tonight... but if I do I'll probably pay to see anything... except Wanted... I'd rather see Mama Mia...

So, we have a winner: XFiles at 9pm at Central, with Fasta Pasta beforehand cos it's cheap and close.

Wanted was beaten by a nose due to BOTHs bad review of it... I have no desire to be beaten with pool cues

hey guys! sorry i'm late, what have i missed...

oh

:(

Due to my *.co.uk status, I have the right to invoke time travel (by going back in time 9 hours) and putting my 2p in. I vote X-files. The Bank Job is so months ago.

Also, I vote mexican. Fasta Pasta is a joke.

1) the x-files has has horrific reviews from everywhere, silly choice (i hope you didn't all pick your eyeballs from your skulls due to its all round shittyness)
2) bank job would have been better choice cause jason statham is awesome ..
3)i recommend watching tropic thunder if you want to watch a movie that breaks every politically correct rule there is, and pee your pants with laughter at the same time.. it was funny .. and so so wrong .. espcially tom cruise breaking out in dance ..

the end

I want my life back.

While I cannot in fairness say this is as bad as Jumper, I don't believe it was much better.
It was as if the creator was a medieval torturer; take a 30 minute episode and put it on the rack to stretch it to fill a movie timespan!

I'm sure there's a bunch of frothing fanboys out there who will defend the merit of this half-baked, poorly acted, far over-visited cliche of a brand, but I for one say it should have stayed buried.

To sum up; while the movie was better than Jumper, no one is claiming Jumper was anything but a shit piece of fluff. I feel that anyone saying this production is something other than a trial to sit through can only be a very deluded fan-boy.

And there's no consensus on which movie to watch next either :(

i'm sure glad I didn't end up going :P
